Prayer of Illumination

This assignment involves titles addressing God and the church congregation, along with three prayers incorporating some of the titles.

Titles for God:

1. Abba - Father

2. Elohim - mighty and strong creator God

3. El Shaddai - God almighty

4. Adonai - YHWH or Lord

5. Yahweh-Jireh - the Lord will provide

6. Yahweh-Rapha - the Lord who heals

7. Yahweh-nissi - the Lord our banner

8. Yahweh-M’kaddesh - the Lord who sanctifies

9. Yahweh-Shalom - the Lord our peace

10. Yahweh-Rohi - the Lord our shepherd

11. Yeshua - the God who saves

Titles for the congregation:

1. Saints - 1 Cor. 1:2

2. Brothers and sisters - Matthew 12:50

3. Body of Christ - 1 Corinthians 12:27

4. Children of God - Romans 8:16

5. Fellow heirs - Romans 8:17

6. Believers - Romans 10:9

7. Christians - 1 Peter 4:16

8. Beloved - Colossians 3:12

9. Chosen ones - 1 Peter 2:9

10. Fellow servants - Colossians 3:23

Prayers

Abba Father,

Teach us, as your children, to humbly listen to you. Soften our hearts to your word and give us faith like a child. May we trust you as our Father to teach us the truth by the Spirit and the Word. Give us steps of faith to obey in response to your truth.

Yahweh-M’kaddesh,

You are the God who sanctifies. I did not choose you, but you chose me (John 15:16). Please continue to sanctify us, as your chosen ones. Make us to bear the fruit of sanctification that only comes from you. Give us ears to hear your Word and willing hearts to grow.

Yeshua our Savior,

Thank you for saving the believers in this congregation. Thank you for the freedom to confess your Lordship over everything and everyone and for the faith with which you have entrusted us. Thank you for giving us the Word that causes our faith in you to grow. Make us eager believers.
